Job DescriptionThis role accelerates two key strategic initiatives:
- Growing global tech-led partnerships
- Support launch of embedded finance products in Europe
While distinct, both initiatives rely on this role acting as a bridge between commercial and product/tech teams to ensure delivery of targeted features and a cohesive roadmap that attracts and retains partners. The majority of the role will be focused on growing tech-led partnerships.
The tech-led strategy focuses on building impactful partnerships with global software providers, ecommerce platforms, vertical specialists, and POS vendors. The role involves direct engagement with these partners alongside business development leads, followed by close collaboration with product and tech teams to design and embed solutions into execution roadmaps across Europe and North America.
The embedded finance initiative leverages Elavon's banking licence to introduce payment-adjacent banking products in Europe, aiming to boost revenue growth and partner retention.
- Solution Strategy Leadership: Define and lead the partner integration strategy, aligning with customer and partner needs to deliver seamless, fast enablement and onboarding experiences.
- Partner Management: Manage relationships with large enablement partners to ensure Elavon remains a payment provider of choice for businesses that require those integrations. Identify potential commercial opportunities in conjunction with commercial teams.
- Partner Architecture Design: Drive consultative engagements with partners to design scalable, secure, and future-proof solution architectures. Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and roadmaps.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product and Technology teams to co-develop partner solutions and drive a tech-led roadmap ensuring alignment with platform capabilities and long-term product vision.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of high-performing solution design specialists and technical consultants. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Enablement Acceleration: Develop and implement frameworks and tools to accelerate partner onboarding and merchant activation, reducing time-to-market and enhancing partner satisfaction.
- Executive Engagement: Serve as a key member of the Global Embedded Payment Partners leadership team. Represent the tech enablement function in strategic planning and governance forums.
Educational and Technical
- 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or product management within the payments or fintech industry.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 12-15 years of experience in technical leadership roles within embedded payments, banking-as-a-service, or platform partnerships.
- Deep understanding of partner integration models, APIs, and scalable architecture design.
- MBA or advanced technical degree is highly desirable.
Leadership and Behavioral
- General management experience at a senior level in a matrix environment
- Strong product delivery and technical skills including familiarity with engineering/ developer models, roadmap development and delivery and partner success
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities - leads through influence, builds effective relations and promotes team collaboration. Strong external orientation towards achieving successful technical outcomes for partners
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical concepts into strategic outcomes.
- Executive presence and experience engaging with senior stakeholders across technology and business domains.
- Experienced manager leading multi disciplined, highly engaged teams and talent development
