Head of Operations

A fast-paced investment management firm is seeking an experienced Head of Operations to lead a central operations team responsible for the full lifecycle of fund activities - from launch and day-to-day oversight through to project delivery and service provider management.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing trade lifecycle activities across execution, middle office, administration, and custody
• Managing new product launches and material changes to existing products
• Supervising outsourced functions (middle office, depositary, administrator, investment managers), ensuring regulatory compliance and service quality
• Leading due diligence on service providers; negotiating and reviewing SLAs
• Acting as primary escalation point for internal and external stakeholders
• Preparing and presenting reports to senior governance committees and the Board
• Managing ad hoc strategic projects as directed by senior leadership
• Supporting IT and data workflow design between the firm and its service providers

Key Requirements

• Solid background in asset/investment management operations or a UCITS ManCo environment
• Proven team leadership experience in a fast-moving setting
• Deep knowledge of investment operations across multiple asset classes and financial products
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to balance immediate priorities and long-term improvements
• Clear communicator, able to translate stakeholder needs into actionable processes
• Self-starter who approaches change as an opportunity
