Part of the Tech & Services division at Softcat, the Services Governance & Portfolio department is a dynamic group of people who influence, define, monitor and develop Softcat's service portfolio and our ability to deliver it effectively. The Head of Networking & Connectivity Services will develop, deliver and communicate the Networking and Connectivity Services strategy at Softcat in support of Softcat's overall Technology Strategy.
As Head of Network and Connectivity, you'll be responsible for:
- Accountable for the Networking & Connectivity Services strategy and ensuring it is centred around supporting and driving Softcat sales performance
- Working with the sales leadership team and appropriate sellers, ensuring that the Networking & Connectivity Services sales achieves budget YoY
- Acting as a permanent member of the Tech Tower Councils, representing key stakeholders in the councils and related meetings, providing clear direction and regular communications
- Chairing the Service Councils for Networking and Connectivity, ensuring we have the right services in the portfolio and driving collaboration to ensure high quality customer experience
- Championing the priorities across Networking & Connectivity services for all relevant customers, in alignment with the sales strategy
- Reviewing our existing proposition and identify opportunities for development, optimisation, and innovation
- Staying on top of technology trends & developments including those of our vendors and service partners
We'd love you to have
- A leader in technology innovation, skilled at engaging stakeholders, executives, and suppliers with a fully commercial approach
- Experience from a previous Networking & Connectivity services role or senior technologist role across multiple sectors
- Exceptional interpersonal & influencing skills, proven history of building and maintaining relationships across the wider business and with an established network of senior level industry contacts
- Passionate about developing teams and individuals and working across departments to deliver specific outcomes
- A proven ability to achieve results through the activities and performances of others outside of your direct reporting control
- Experience of prioritising initiatives based on their alignment with business objectives and value to the business
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and positive attitude, and a continual improvement mindset
- Demonstrable organisational leadership skills, to support the continued development of the service delivery & sales teams
