We are looking for aHead of Medical Informationto join us in ourUK & Ireland Medical Affairsteam, based in our Slough, UK offices.
About the role
Manage all aspects of medical information (UCBCares), copy approval and selected medical affairs activities in UK & Ireland to a high standard and in accordance with applicable codes, regulations and SOPs. This includes management of Medical information personnel. Ensure accurate, tailored, fair and balanced information is communicated in response to unsolicited medical/scientific enquiries in a timely manner and with a focus on high quality customer service.

What you'll do
- Management of UK & Ireland medical information team. At UCB, medical information operates under the branding of UCBCares.
- Ensure that Medical Information activities are performed in line with all relevant global and local SOPs, associated instructions, forms and guidance documents.
- Ensure that Medical Information activities are performed in compliance with global and local requirements and regulations.
- Author and support approval and implementation of local medical information SOPs and associated documents, templates and forms.
- Ensure that the Global Medical Information and UCBCares teams have access to all required information to assure oversight of the Affiliate operation.
- Ensure alignment to Global Medical Information and UCBCares activities by serving as a core regional and/or country partner.
Interested? For this position you'll need the following education, experience and skills:
- Several years experience in medical information within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Very good understanding of the requirements of the ABPI Code of Practice and other relevant legal frameworks.
- Solid knowledge in drug safety and regulatory processes.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various stakeholders both within and outside of the medical affairs function.
- Professional demeanor, team orientation, multi-tasking, time management and organisational skills.
- Scientific background in CNS and/or immunology is helpful.
