Job Description
Overview

At Bravura Solutions, collaboration, diversity and excellence matter. We value your ideas, giving you room to be curious and innovate in an exciting, fast-paced, and flexible environment. We look for many different skills and abilities, as well as how you can add value to Bravura and our culture.

As a Global FinTech market leader and ASX listed company, Bravura is a trusted partner to over 350 leading financial services clients, delivering wealth management technology and products. We invest significantly in our technology hubs and innovation labs, which inspire and drive our creative, future-focused mindset. We take pride in developing cutting-edge, digital first technology solutions that support our clients to achieve financial security and prosperity for their customers.

About The Position

Bravura is seeking a practitioner who understands what it means to build a sustainable, programmatic acquisition capability. This is not a deal-by-deal role. You will be responsible for designing and running a repeatable process: identifying prospects in and adjacent to Bravura's core, cultivating relationships with founder-owners and intermediaries over multi-year horizons, and leading the end-to-end evaluation and execution of transactions.

The ideal candidate has learnt the ropes at a successful serial acquirer, ideally with experience at companies like Constellation Software, Halma, Lifco, Diploma, Judges Scientific, Roper Technologies, or Bergman & Beving, and understands intimately how disciplined capital allocation, decentralised operating models, and patient relationship-building compound over time. You know how to pay the right price for the right business.

What You'll Do
  1. Build the M&A Capability
    • Define Bravura's acquisition strategy and target profile: the right size, sector adjacency, customer concentration, revenue quality, and cultural fit for deals that will create durable value.
    • Construct a systematic pipeline management process: from market mapping and initial outreach through to LOI, diligence, and close. Think in terms of hundreds of conversations, not dozens
    • Build relationships with founder-operators, family owners, and intermediaries in Bravura's target sectors long before a transaction is imminent.
    • Establish the frameworks, return hurdles, and post-acquisition monitoring disciplines that hold acquisitions accountable to their investment thesis
  2. Source & Evaluate Transactions
    • Lead proprietary deal sourcing: reach founders and owner-operators who may not be actively seeking liquidity, and build the trust that makes Bravura their preferred counterparty.
    • Lead rigorous due diligence and analysis with minimal use of external advisers.
    • Structure and negotiate transactions, including earn-outs, working capital adjustments, and seller rollover arrangements.
  3. Post-Acquisition Success
    • Ensure a thoughtful handoff to operating leadership post-close.
    • Monitor acquired businesses against their investment cases, flagging variance early
  4. Partner with the CEO & Board
    • Present investment recommendations with intellectual honesty.
    • Serve as a thought partner on questions that sit at the intersection of M&A and Bravura's long-term competitive positioning.

Background

  • Direct experience in M&A or corporate development at a programmatic acquirer, or significant time in private equity / investment banking with a dedicated focus on software sector roll-up strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently source, evaluate, and close acquisitions; not just supporting transactions as part of a large team.
Mindset & Character
  • You think like an owner, not an advisor.
  • You understand that the best acquisitions are often relationships built over years before any formal process and you have the patience and interpersonal skill to build them.
  • You are honest about uncertainty. You can build a rigorous investment case and present it with humility, distinguishing what you know from what you are assuming.
  • You are process-oriented. You appreciate that building a repeatable, disciplined system is important.
  • You are comfortable operating in an environment that is building its M&A infrastructure with this hire.
  • You are comfortable executing as an individual contributor. We will consider expanding the team based on success in the role.
Why Bravura, Why Now
  • The M&A function does not yet exist in any formal sense, which means the person who takes this role will play a key role to define it.
  • Proximity to real decisions. There are no layers of bureaucracy between you and the investment decisions that matter.
  • A sector with long runway.
  • The chance to build something lasting. If you have ever wanted to build the M&A capability of a company, from sourcing philosophy to pipeline management to post-close governance, this is that opportunity.
Working at Bravura

Our people are the heart of our business. We work hard to provide a rich employee experience and a robust framework for ongoing career development.

  • Competitive salary and employee benefits scheme
  • 2 paid volunteering days and a range of community-based initiatives to get involved in
  • Parental (including secondary) leave policy
