Job Description

The Business:

Our client is a leading global investment research business seeking a contractor to join the team as soon as possible.

The role:

This role will be an integral part of the legal team for the next few months to a year. The primary focus will be leading transformation and change programmes related to automation, AI, and technology to enhance efficiency within the legal team. The successful candidate will advise on current processes, review them, and work closely with the Global GC (based in London) on this project and potentially other legal matters concerning team management (team of 5) and escalation of legal and commercial issues. The main emphasis initially will be on the transformation and efficiency project.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have significant experience as Senior Legal Counsel, Head of Legal, or GC.
  • Possess strong knowledge and exposure to legal process improvement, implementation, and experience with legal tech, AI, and automation to improve legal processes and service delivery.
  • Have experience in rolling out and training on new processes, securing stakeholder buy-in, and adopting a measured, commercial approach to process improvements.
  • Demonstrate excellent influencing and negotiation skills to support commercial outcomes.
  • Have experience in a dynamic in-house environment as a senior legal professional (ideally 7+ years PQE).
  • Be a team player, methodical, and capable of working to deadlines.
  • Be excited about transforming legal processes and implementing change to improve outcomes and services.

Day rate: Competitive. Note: You can operate outside IR35 through Ltd Company or as a PAYE contractor via our agency payroll if you do not have a Ltd company set up.

Working arrangements: 1-2 days per week in the office is ideal. The schedule is flexible, with some office attendance required. Not fully remote but with good flexibility.

Full-time/Part-time: Ideally 5 days a week, but 4 days may be considered for the right candidate.
