Job Overview

We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to join us as the Head of Landlord Compliance. This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with Agile Working. The successful candidate may be based in any Flagship Housing office - Norwich, Melton / Woodbridge, East Dereham or Bury St. Edmunds.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all Landlord Health and Safety (H&S) matters, ensuring homes and communal areas remain safe for tenants, contractors and the public in full compliance with legislation, including the Building Safety Act.
  • Manage the compliance team's performance, deliver outstanding customer service, wisely manage expenditures and relentlessly improve performance across all operational aspects.
  • Interface with safety enforcement agencies and fire authorities to ensure compliance and adopt best practices.
  • Oversee component servicing and monitoring, ensuring compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) and using performance metrics to drive improvements.
  • Advise the Board, maintain high customer service standards, and stay updated on regulatory changes.
  • Develop strategy and produce detailed board reports with clear data and analysis to support decision making.
Qualifications
  • Degree standard or equivalent, with an asset management or landlord compliance qualification, or significant relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience delivering high quality landlord compliance services and a deep understanding of the affordable housing sector.
  • Knowledge of the Housing Health & Safety Rating System and other key landlord compliance regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills - able to promote a culture of growth and high performance within the department.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
