Are you a commercially minded IT leader who loves shaping strategy, driving transformation, and bringing people on the journey? This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving, consumer-led retail business that has undergone major digital transformation in recent years - and is now looking for a visionary Head of IT to take them into their next phase of growth.

The Opportunity

The business has made huge strides in modernising its technology stack over the past few years - upgrading ERP systems, rolling out new POS technology, modernising its eCommerce platform and more.

Now, the focus shifts to strategy, simplification, and stakeholder engagement. They're seeking a Head of IT who can combine commercial awareness with technical breadth - someone who can win hearts and minds, shape the IT roadmap, and partner closely with leadership to deliver genuine business impact.

You'll inherit a largely outsourced IT model and be tasked with consolidation of these external partners. There's also a strong emphasis on data strategy, and driving forward initiatives such as the Single Customer View and enhancement of their Customer Data Platform (CDP).

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and delivery of the IT strategy and roadmap aligned to commercial goals.
• Partner with senior business leaders to drive innovation and deliver value through technology.
• Manage outsourced partners, ensuring performance, cost efficiency, and alignment with business priorities.
• Oversee system architecture (ERP, POS, BI, eCommerce, integrations, and data).
• Support major strategic projects including migration to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Build internal capability through the recruitment and leadership of key IT roles.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

• Proven experience in IT leadership within a retail, FMCG, or consumer-facing environment.
• Broad understanding of infrastructure, enterprise systems, data management, and cybersecurity.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate a strategic vision through a commercial lens.
• A track record of leading transformation and influencing senior leaders and third-party partners.
• A genuine passion for business and technology - someone who thrives on building relationships and delivering outcomes that make a tangible difference.
