Job Description

We are recruiting a Safety & Compliance Manager to join us.

This role involves developing, overseeing, managing, and supporting all areas of our management and compliance systems to ensure a safe working environment for staff, stakeholders, and customers. You will also oversee compliance with all relevant Health and Safety regulations for LGAH businesses acting as employer, landlord, and developer.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing ongoing compliance with ISO45001 across the businesses.
  • Ensuring health and safety assurance activities, including implementation of Landlord Assurance and CDM site safety assurance.
  • Acting as the responsible person for safety and compliance, including incident investigation and reporting.
  • Managing procurement and relationships with specialists providing competent person, fire safety, and other services.
  • Supporting certification processes for other quality standards and ensuring standard compliance.
  • Updating and reviewing health and safety policies in line with regulatory and sector developments.
  • Developing safety and compliance performance metrics and fostering a culture of learning and improvement.
  • Reporting and mitigating safety and compliance risks.
  • Working with business teams to embed safety and compliance in all processes, including site acquisition, build, and management.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience managing ISO quality standards.
  • A commitment to safety and compliance for staff, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with HSE and other regulatory bodies.
  • Experience in residential property, health and safety, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of legislation impacting affordable housing development and management.
  • Strong expertise in regulatory standards implementation.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, mitigation, and accident investigations.
