Head of Finance & Operations

Full-time Permanent Cheam up to £55,000

I'm recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Head of Finance & Operations to lead all core support functions across finance, compliance, office management, IT, onboarding, and operational integration. This is a senior leadership role with real influence and visibility, overseeing multiple teams across three sites.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts, overseeing billing, AP/AR, banking controls, and debt recovery. You will lead on compliance activities, maintain ACSP status, manage audits, and ensure strong governance across the organisation. Alongside this, you'll oversee office operations, IT systems, Health & Safety, and support integration following any mergers or acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and present monthly management accounts
• Oversee billing processes, AP/AR, debt management, and banking controls
• Lead compliance, maintain ACSP status, and act as audit lead
• Manage client and staff onboarding processes
• Oversee office operations across three sites
• Manage IT systems, suppliers, and infrastructure
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance
• Support M&A integration and align systems and processes

What We're Looking For

• CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified accountant
• Strong background in financial management and operational leadership
• Experience in compliance, governance, and process improvement
• Confident leader able to manage multiple teams and drive change
• Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
