Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of Segregated Payments Limited (UK). This critical role is responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining stringent corporate governance, and collaborating closely with our Global Finance, Accounting, and Management teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong understanding of financial regulations and a commitment to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute general accounting duties, including preparing and posting monthly reports for the Board, adhering to company policies and local legislation.
- Perform pre-approval-controlled functions (PFC) as required.
- Establish and maintain an efficient accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets, enhance operational efficiency, and drive profitability.
- Support the Group Head of Finance in the timely development and implementation of annual statutory accounts for Board review and approval.
- Provide ongoing analytical support by closely monitoring operating department's actual and projected sales performance.
- Identify and implement initiatives to improve cost efficiencies, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and explore new business opportunities.
- Lead the statutory audit process, ensuring full international and local statutory compliance by engaging with business partners.
- Proactively identify and communicate any financial risks or concerns to the Group Head of Finance.
- Manage all local statutory reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate recordkeeping and comprehensive reporting on financial matters, including budget and operational expenses.
- Monitor and interpret new and updated regulatory requirements, ensuring their timely implementation within the organization.
- Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive regulatory reporting policies and procedures.
- Ensure all regulatory reports are submitted accurately and within required deadlines.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned to support the finance function.
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.
- 3-5 years of experience in the payments industry (preferred).
- Qualified Accountant.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to performing accurate work to the highest standards of accountancy.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with minimal direct supervision.
- Highly driven, self-motivated, and goal-oriented.
- Strong critical thinking and mathematical reasoning skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Thorough understanding of general accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
