We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and forward-thinking Head of Department for our Cultural and Creative sector We are seeking a dynamic leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding learning experiences, driving innovation, and ensuring that every learner achieves their full potential in line with the College's Strategic Plan.

  • A strategic thinker who can shape the future direction of the department and champion a culture of excellence.
As Head of Department, you will:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across all curriculum areas.
  • Develop and implement effective departmental strategies that enhance quality, improve outcomes, and support continuous improvement.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and staffing to ensure efficient and high-performing provision.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including employers, partners, and awarding bodies.
  • Lead the growth of apprenticeship and adult learning programmes by identifying new opportunities, strengthening engagement, and enhancing programme quality.
  • Analyse performance data, develop meaningful metrics, and report progress to senior leadership to inform decision-making and future planning.
  • Drive innovation in curriculum design, digital learning, and industry-aligned skills development.
