The Role

Are you passionate about music and engaging your pupils in the Secondary Music curriculum? Have you got experience of teaching Music and hold QTS?

This is an exciting opportunity for a Headof Music to lead a vibrant music department. You will be a creative, adaptable and dedicated specialist with high aspirations to enable you deliver creative lessons to inspire pupils.In addition, you will have a demonstrable track record as an excellent classroom practitioner to ensure pupils meet or exceed expected progress.Applications for part time working will be considered.

Qualifications

Graduate in relevant subject with QTS for KS3 and KS4 with an ability to proficiently teach all formal elements of Music Essential

Experience/Knowledge

Excellent, up-to-date knowledge in subject and new developments in teaching music Essential

Experience of tracking pupil progress and using data to inform lesson planning Essential

A proven track record of ensuring pupil progress and of examination success Essential

Experience of monitoring and evaluating staff performance Essential

Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with a range of different audiences including providing sensitive feedback to parents/carers and other professionals regarding pupil development Essential

Ability to promote a high standard of literacy, articulacy and propose use of standard English within lessons Essential

Personal Attributes

Commitment to own professional development and willingness to undertake training Essential
