Head of Contracts

About The Role

We are excited to share this new opportunity for a Head of Contracts to oversee and strategically manage all commercial contracts within the Asset Management department, driving value for money and high standards of service delivery. The role oversees the delivery of the planned maintenance programme to our homes, ensuring long term forecasting of component replacement and effective procurement is in place. This role involves significant internal partnering and collaboration to connect various business functions and ensure seamless operations. The role is an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team working collaboratively to deliver positive outcomes for our residents and local communities.

About you

We are looking for someone with extensive experience of contract management, procurement and supplier management. You'll also have experience of managing budgets and financial performance, the ability to develop and implement strategies and set clear objectives to drive delivery.

You'll bring to the role your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation and best practice. You will have excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills and will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while ensuring a high level of integrity and professionalism. You'll possess strong management skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire and empower a team of staff to deliver excellent services.

You'll hold a professional qualification in contract management/procurement (e.g. CIPS), or finance and be able to show continued professional development. You'll be someone who shares our core values of Ownership, Innovation, Teamwork and Inclusion and looks to incorporate them into their day to day work.

You'll need to have a flexible approach to work, as some out of hours work may be required and be able to visit properties as required.

The successful applicant will require a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate which is considered satisfactory to Housing Solutions.
