Head of Compliance

Specialist insurer writing a varied book of niche and specialty lines, investing in their underwriting, pricing and technical capability, looking for a Head of Compliance with significant compliance experience within UK general insurance.

To lead the Compliance function and fulfil the statutory responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer (if required), ensuring the company maintains an effective compliance framework, manages regulatory risk appropriately and promotes a culture of good customer outcomes and ethical conduct. The role provides independent second-line oversight, challenge and advice to the business, ensuring regulatory obligations are understood, embedded and effectively managed.

Significant compliance experience (UK general insurance) and strong understanding of FCA requirements and strong understanding of FCA requirements, including Consumer Duty, SYSC, ICOBS, PROD and DISP. Experience of compliance monitoring, risk assessment, regulatory reporting and agreements and conducting due diligence and oversight of intermediaries and claims handlers etc. Good understanding of UK GDPR and data protection requirements. Experience engaging with regulators and producing Board-level reporting. (RDT595)
