We're looking for a Head of Commissioning or Commissioning Lead to join a leading data centre developer and operator in the UK, Netherlands, France or Germany!

Our client is looking for a client-facing Head of Commissioning or Commissioning Lead to join their data centre leadership team in either the UK, France, Germany or the Netherlands. This role will take ownership of commissioning strategy and delivery across large-scale hyperscale developments, ensuring technical excellence, programme certainty, and risk mitigation from design through to handover.

Responsibilities of a client-side Head of Commissioning or Commissioning Lead:
  • Provide strategic leadership for the delivery and commissioning of complex projects and programmes, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
  • Hold accountability for safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and regulatory compliance across the portfolio
  • Establish and maintain effective programme delivery environments, including people, processes, governance, and technology
  • Lead, develop, and inspire high-performing, diverse teams while fostering an inclusive and wellbeing-focused culture
  • Manage budgets and commercial performance, ensuring financially, ethically, and operationally sound outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, influencing long-term strategy and performance
The Head of Commissioning / Commissioning Lead will have the following:
  • Proven experience working as a Head of Commissioning or Commissioning Lead on a large-scale construction project
  • Strong client-side background (developer or operator)
  • Experience working within complex European markets; experience in Germany, France, or the UK preferred
