Head of Commercial Operations - Eden Court Highlands

The Head of Commercial Operations will be responsible for ensuring that Eden Court Trading is an effective and profitable business which generates a meaningful financial contribution to Eden Court Highlands (charity) and provides a positive customer experience for the venue's visitors, audiences and events clients.

The Trading business is made up of three key areas which have a total turnover of c.£1million: Food + Beverage, Commercial Hires and Front of House Sales.This is an exciting time for the Trading business, with plans in place to refresh the physical environment through a reworked main bar and new furniture, as well as the relaunch of a simple in-house food offer.

The Head of Commercial Operations will be required to think and work strategically, as well as operationally. The role will take a commercial approach, and the individual will bring an understanding of how to monitor key performance indicators (e.g. gross profit, wastage, spend-per-head) and act on findings. They will also feel comfortable managing budgets, forecasting income and developing strategic plans.

We're seeking someone with senior experience within hospitality, such as a café, restaurant or bar - this doesn't need to be in the context of an arts organisation, although experience in this area is a plus. The postholder will be line managed by the Chief Executive and will report directly to the Trading Board.
