We are currently seeking a professional to join our team in the role of: Head of Central Securities Depositories Risk
As part of our expanding team, you will play a pivotal leadership role in enhancing our global oversight capabilities, specifically in managing risks associated with Central Securities Depositories (CSD) and Securities Settlement Systems (SSS). You will be instrumental in shaping and developing this new function within the FMI team, ensuring effective risk management and strategic growth.

In this role you will:- Design and execute a risk management and governance operating model with the support of the wider FMI Management team and FMI Transformation team.
- Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to risk oversight, due diligence and resiliency management and set up and oversee the management of the global relationship repository to fulfill regulatory reporting requirements.
- Spearhead the creation of a governance framework, ensuring the risk management model is rolled out with global consistency whilst managing significant risks identified through risk assessment or ongoing monitoring through appropriate committees and governance forums.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to define the risk management framework in addition to setting up a small but impactful team to conduct risk reviews and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure identified exposures are managed efficiently.
- Assess contingency plans as well as regulatory changes to ensure our resiliency and establish a process to monitor rulebook changes, ensuring all modifications are reviewed and associated risks are managed.
- Proven experience with in-depth knowledge of Central Securities Depositories and Securities Settlement Systems as types of Financial Markets Infrastructure, including global regulatory frameworks, industry standards and operational resilience.
- Strong expertise in risk identification, assessment, mitigation and monitoring, specifically tailored to CSDs and SSS's with knowledge of securities services products
- In-depth understanding of key industry regulatory developments around securities settlement, e.g. shortening in settlement cycle.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management effectively.
- Self-sufficient in your approach you will have demonstrable expertise in strategic thinking and impact analysis to effectively navigate and adapt to evolving regulatory environments
