Job Description
Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the NHS Forth Valley Capital Planning & Property Service. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an effective, efficient and compliant service across the NHS Forth Valley estate, including PPP and DBFM Facilities. The successful candidate will support the Director of Facilities to provide direct leadership and support for the service, ensuring that there are robust systems and processes in place to deliver required outcomes. Key will be completion of the strategic plan for property and its implementation in the light of the Board's Population Health and Care Strategy 2025 - 2035 and overall national direction of travel for health and care services.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record within their field and will be able to apply their knowledge effectively to provide professional, technical and overall management of the service.

This post is mainly based in Stirling Health & Care Village but location will be flexible across Forth Valley as the need arises.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to complete a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the Capital Planning & Property Service in delivering an effective, compliant service across the NHS Forth Valley estate (including PPP and DBFM facilities).
  • Support the Director of Facilities to provide strategic leadership and ensure robust systems and processes achieve required outcomes.
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for property in line with the Board's Population Health and Care Strategy 2025 - 2035 and national health and care directions.
Location and travel

Based mainly in Stirling Health & Care Village with flexibility across Forth Valley as needed. Travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential.

Compliance and checks

Completion of a Level 2 Disclosure Scotland check is required.

Remuneration and terms

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. There will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

NHS Forth Valley may sponsor for certain roles if the post meets minimum salary thresholds and other required criteria.
