Exalto Consulting are really excited to be supporting a fantastic, well-respected consultancy with their Head of Business Development vacancy.
This a key hire for our client, who are looking for someone with a strong background across consultancy sales. In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, building long-term client relationships, and driving revenue growth across existing and new customers.
To be successful in this role, you'll be a hands-on sales leader who will own and shape the sales function and oversee marketing activities. Driving revenue across both the public and private sector.
You will be responsible for -
- Implementing new sales strategy in line with business objectives and growth targets.
- Lead, manage, and develop sales and marketing teams, including business development managers, customer acquisition leads, and digital marketing resources.
- Develop and execute integrated sales and marketing strategies that drive qualified leads and convert them into new business opportunities.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with C-level stakeholders and decision-makers across target industries.
- Balance business development efforts between public and private sectors, leveraging existing public sector expertise while expanding private sector presence.
- Drive new business development while supporting the expansion of revenue from existing accounts.
- Identify and develop opportunities in new sectors and markets.
- Report on sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts to the Board.
- Proven track record in consultancy sales.
- Experience with both private sector sales and public sector procurement
- Strong network and experience selling into enterprise clients.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate high-performing teams.
- Commercially astute, with experience managing P&L and negotiating complex contracts.
- Deep understanding of technology consultancy services.
