Location: Nottingham/Hybrid

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £90,868 with potential to rise to £106,904 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Head of Business Change to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives.

Business change is a core component of that, enabling us to increase our success in delivering and embedding transformational change, driving greater benefits and outcomes for our customers, patients and the business.

Role summary: We are looking for a Head of Business Change to build and embed a central business change function and strategy, and to integrate that strategy through the organisation. You will have a strong background in business change management, and excellent communication and relationship-building skills, allowing you to raise awareness and build momentum for change management in the business.

The Head of Business Change sits in the centralised Change Team, partnering across the organisation and engaged across the leadership team.

Every day you will
  • Be a champion for change across the business and act as an ambassador for the adoption and ownership of organisational change strategies across the wider business.
  • Be responsible for shaping and embedding the central business change function, as well as developing and implementing change management strategies ensuring they are effectively integrated into the business, minimising resistance, and maximising adoption and usage of required changes.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that change initiatives align with the overall strategic goals of the organisation, acting as a coach for senior leaders and executives to help them fulfil the critical role of change management sponsor.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Heads of Change for delivery and the Head of Portfolio, supporting their teams to integrate change management activities and frameworks, with project and programme delivery and assurance.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
  • Previous experience in a senior transformation role either on the business or technical change side of things.
  • Experience in programme management and delivery.
  • Experience in shaping and applying business change methodologies
  • Significant experience in business change management across major programmes and projects
  • Must have the following skills
  • Business Change Management experience
  • Strong Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of change management methodologies and frameworks
