Head of Branch/Chief Relationship Manager
We are an independent Swiss Asset Management Company with FINMA license as a Portfolio Manager, based in Zug, Zurich and Ticino. We offer you an exciting and challenging role as Head of Branch / Chief Relationship Manager, covering Eastern Europe (EU), CIS, UK, and Middle East markets, within a cooperative team at our Zurich office.
Your key responsibilities are the following:
Branch Activities Support:
- Developing and implementing strategies to achieve revenue and performance targets.
- Conducting market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and new opportunities for Branch.
- Collaborating with internal teams to implement new trends in line with best practices.
- Participating in business development initiatives for Branch activities.
- Contributing to the improvement of internal processes related to client servicing.
- Maintaining the operational and functional efficiency of the Branch, shared responsibility for the recruitment of new employees for the Branch.
- Integration into Zurich's financial ecosystem.
Banking Relationship Management:
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with banks and financial intermediaries.
- Identifying new business opportunities through market analysis and collaboration with banks and service providers.
- Planning and meeting on regular basis with bank representatives concerning collaboration; documenting key information (minutes) in the company's CRM system.
- Updating and systematizing information on regulatory, qualification and personal requirements (risk appetite) of servicing banks to new and existing clients.
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct regular meetings and strategic reviews with prospects and clients.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service aligned with client goals and expectations.
- Actively develop a pipeline of new clients through networking, referrals, and partnerships.
- Coordinate with other teams to ensure timely execution of client requests and alignment of services.
- Ensure strict confidentiality of client data, instructions, and financial assets.
- Maintain accurate records of communications and meeting outcomes in the company's CRM system.
- Track individual KPIs and prepare regular reports on client activities and pipeline status for management.
- Support client onboarding and periodic reviews for the preparation and updating of KYC profiles, including client's corroboration documents providing.
- Regularly attend AML and cross-border training; maintain up-to-date knowledge and implement compliant practices.
Your profile:
University degree in Economics/Finance/Banking. 10 + years of professional experience in relationship with HNW/UHNW clients and/ or portfolio management (Relationship Manager, Investment Advisory or Portfolio Manager position in Banks or External Asset Management companies). 7+ years of leadership and team management experience in the financial sector. Deep knowledge and proven experience in portfolio management and asset management. Experience of building relationships with wealth management, corporate, banking, and financial institutions divisions of the leading banks. Extensive network of potential HNW/UHNW clients in Eastern Europe (EU), CIS, the UK, and Middle Eastern countries. A strong network in the Middle East, especially the UAE, is a plus. Broad professional network of former clients with a CIS nexus, including owners and top managers of private businesses, particularly in development, construction, and manufacturing. Experience in the interaction at the highest level with HNW/UHNW Individuals, understanding the HNWI interaction specifics, proven track record in HNW and UHNW client's acquisition. Strong expertise in Swiss regulatory topics, including AML, sanctions compliance, tax transparency, KYC/Onboarding processes, and cross-border requirements. Comprehensive knowledge of the Swiss and EU legislative framework relevant to asset and portfolio management companies, including MiFID II, FINIA, FINSA, and FINMA requirement. In-depth understanding of corporate governance, internal control systems, and risk management and compliance standards applicable to Swiss financial institutions. Independent and proactive work attitude. Established network of possible clients residing in Zurich. Willingness to travel a lot and work with a flexible schedule. Fluency in English and Russian, spoken level one of East Europe languages. Basic German. Strong Microsoft Office skills.
