Head of Balance Sheet Optimisation

Our client, a leading international reinsurance organisation, is seeking an experienced Head of Balance Sheet Optimisation to join their growing Dublin-based team.

This is a senior leadership role within a newly established ALM & Balance Sheet Management function, offering the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide balance sheet strategy, capital efficiency, and commercial decision-making across a complex global portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and embedding of a best-in-class balance sheet optimisation capability
• Drive enterprise-wide ALM and balance sheet strategy across capital, liquidity, earnings and investments
• Develop and enhance optimisation analytics, modelling capabilities and reporting frameworks
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Investments, Finance, Risk and Actuarial
• Represent the function at executive committees and key strategic forums

Requirements

• Qualified Actuary with 10+ years post qualification experience
• Strong experience across ALM, investment risk, capital management or balance sheet optimisation
• Exposure to reinsurance or complex insurance environments
• Experience with modelling and analytics tools such as Python, SQL, Prophet, R or Power BI
• Strong commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
