Head of Analytical Development

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Analytical Development to lead analytical development activities within a regulated environment. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership, overseeing analytical programmes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality scientific data to support development projects and business objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with cross functional teams while driving excellence across analytical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage analytical development activities, ensuring project objectives and timelines are achieved.
• Oversee the development, optimisation, validation, and transfer of analytical methods in line with regulatory and quality requirements.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to analytical development teams.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, regulatory standards, and laboratory best practices.
• Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to support development programmes, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic objectives.

About You

• Significant experience in analytical development within a regulated laboratory environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing analytical teams and complex technical projects.
• Strong knowledge of analytical method development, validation, transfer, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem solving skills.
• Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality scientific and operational outcomes.
