Head of Accounting

Overview

Head of Accounting - Salary €100k - Financial Services - Cork - hybrid.

Managing a team of 10 Qualified Accountants while overseeing all aspects of client accounting services for the company.

Other duties to include:

• Partner with senior leadership to drive the firm's commercial strategy, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, management accounts, and statutory returns.
• Translate financial data into clear business insights, influencing decision-making at a strategic level.
• Review financial performance of the department and identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and client value.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 10-14 professionals, building a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 7+ years post-qualification experience, ideally in practice or professional services.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10+ people.
• Exceptional technical grounding in accounting standards, VAT, payroll, and tax compliance.
