Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional food quality and service standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a proven track record in managing busy kitchen environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of food preparation, kitchen operations, and team management within a dynamic hospitality setting.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient and high-quality food production
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, maintaining consistency with brand standards
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and uphold the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Manage inventory control, ordering supplies, and minimising waste
Train and mentor junior staff to foster professional development and maintain team motivation
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Monitor kitchen performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary
Maintain a positive working environment that promotes teamwork and excellence
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive food production, food preparation, and cooking expertise
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Demonstrable experience in menu development and food presentation
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable
A passion for culinary arts combined with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences
