Job Description
Thanks to its 800 beds, the Intercommunal Hospital of la Broye (HIB) carries out a mission of acute care essential to the Broye region. Following the retirement of the incumbent, we are looking for an invested and dynamic person to join our hospitality service as: Head Chef 80% to 100%Your missionAs a head chef, you play a key role in the quality of the hospital experience. Leading a team of 24 people, you directly contribute to the wellbeing of patients and residents in the EMS. The kitchen brigade produces approximately 400 meals a day for our different internal clients. Your responsibilities will include:- Organizing and controlling the kitchen activities and supplies, managing the stock, and the goods- Defining and implementing work processes/procedures according to best practices for kitchen tasks and operations, respecting quality, efficiency, safety, and ergonomics principles- Planning menus, integrating sustainability principles- Developing and applying the HACCP concept- Participating in and monitoring the budget- Initiating and managing projects, including banquets and events- Managing staff, planning attendance and absences- Participating in recruitment, hiring, and training, and supervising all activities of the teams under your responsibility- The opportunity to be an active participant in the future kitchen and new catering concept in the context of the hospital's expansionYou hold a vocational training certificate as a cook or an equivalent title, complemented by a federal diploma as a head chef, or you have experience in team management ideally punctuated by experience in a hospital or collective catering environment, with experience in cold chain and/or dietetics. You are fluent in French and proficient with common tools (Microsoft Office). You demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and an excellent sense of responsibility, enjoy challenges, work in an interdisciplinary team, and are committed to offering gourmet culinary proposals suitable for the hospital context. You are service-oriented, and customer satisfaction is your motivation.
