POSITION OVERVIEWThe Head Chef leads the kitchen brigade and is responsible for the delivery of consistently high-quality food, menu development, kitchen operations, and compliance with food safety standards. A culinary leader who inspires the team and embodies the Richoux philosophy of quality and elegance. The role promotes an inclusive and engaging environment where all team members are encouraged to grow and perform at their best.
OPERATIONS:- Lead daily kitchen operations to ensure a smooth and efficient service flow.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and company food safety regulations.
- Monitor food delivery standards, recipe adherence, and product consistency.
- Oversee mise en place, cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen facilities.
- Train and mentor kitchen team members, fostering a growth-oriented and inclusive culture.
- Participate in hiring and structured onboarding for new kitchen staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and implement individual development plans.
- Manage kitchen stock, suppliers, and food cost control.
- Track performance metrics such as food cost %, prep efficiency, and wastage levels.
- Collaborate on accurate forecasting and budget planning.
- Ensure every dish meets the Richoux quality promise in taste and presentation.
- Actively engage with guests during menu tastings or special events.
- Uphold Richoux's brand identity through elegant presentation and culinary standards.
- Lead seasonal menu development in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a premium restaurant or multi-outlet hospitality setting
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills.
- Strong understanding of food trends, seasonal sourcing, and kitchen innovation.
- Financially literate with strong cost control and forecasting experience.
