Job Summary
The Stackpole Inn is situated on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastal path in the village of Stackpole. We are seeking a skilled Head Chef to oversee our busy kitchen operations and lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong leadership skills, and a creative flair for menu development.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Create innovative and high-quality dishes that meet customer expectations
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high standards of service
- Develop menus in line with seasonal availability and customer preferences
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing guidance to enhance their culinary skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Strong culinary skills with expertise in food production, preparation, and presentation
- Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Proven ability to manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and supervise kitchen operations
- Creative flair for menu development with a focus on quality ingredients and innovative dishes
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
