Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Job Description We are currently recruiting a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents/service users. Key Responsibilities: Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting. Support residents/service users with mobility and daily activities. Assist with meals, hydration and general wellbeing. Observe and report any changes in a resident s health or condition to the nursing team. Maintain dignity, privacy, independence and respect at all times. Follow infection prevention, health and safety, and safeguarding procedures. Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable care environment. Work effectively as part of the nursing and healthcare team. Complete required documentation accurately and promptly. Essential Requirements: QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or an equivalent recognised qualification. Must hold a valid visa/permission to work legally in Ireland. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Caring, compassionate and patient approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends where required
