Hardfacing Welder

Location: Sheffield37 hours per week Monday-FridayCore hours 7:30am-4:00pm 12:30pm finish on FridaysSalary: £19.07ph

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist engineering business to recruit a highly skilled Hardfacing Welder to join their Welding Shop department.

This role is focused on producing high-quality hardfacing and weld overlay work to strict customer drawings and specifications. The components manufactured are used in extremely hostile and high-wear environments, meaning precision, durability and quality are critical.

• Producing high-quality hardfacing and weld overlays in line with customer specifications

• MIG and TIG welding to high standards and tolerances

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation

• Inspecting completed work and carrying out basic quality checks

• Maintaining welding equipment and adhering to all HSE procedures

• Working to agreed timescales without compromising on quality

• Time-served welding background with strong MIG and TIG experience

• Proven experience in hardfacing or a strong technical understanding of wear-resistant applications

• Ability to confidently read and work from engineering drawings

• High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work

• Strong awareness of health and safety responsibilities

• Flexibility to support business needs where required

• PTAW experience

• Formal welding qualifications or coding

• Experience working with wear plates, overlays and specialist consumables
