Overview

We are looking for an experienced and reliable skilled Handyman to support our long standing on site in Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in joinery and be confident carrying out a wide range of basic trade tasks to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general handyman duties including minor repairs, adjustments, and basic maintenance.
• Carry out tasks such as:
  • Basic joinery
  • Fixing doors, locks, hinges
  • Minor painting/decorating
  • Basic plumbing tasks (as needed)
  • General upkeep and site support
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Follow all site safety procedures and report issues or hazards.
• Work independently and manage daily tasks effectively.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Handyman or general maintenance operative.
• CSCS Card - valid and in date.
• Face Fit certification.
• Strong joinery skills or a joinery background.
• Good all-round basic trade knowledge.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

• Experience working on construction or refurbishment projects.
• Own basic tools.
