Position Title

Production Operative - GRP Flooring Department

Location: Paneltex Ltd, Somerden Road, Hull, HU9 5PE

Reporting to: Manager/Supervisor/Team Leader

Hours of work: 40 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 14:00

Salary: From £13.00 per hour

Job Overview

To produce floors for home delivery vehicles, trailers, trucks and cold store units.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Wet lay floors and fit stainless steel plates with aluminium ensuring it is done to the appropriate standard.
  • Floor laying using a variety of products, including vinyl and fibreglass.
  • Working with a variety of chemicals.
  • Use a variety of hand tools and techniques to ensure quality remains high.
  • Completing the works to scheduled deadlines working directly with the Supervisor.
  • Be familiar with the company's Health and Safety Policies and in particular with your responsibilities.
  • Comply with all relevant internal rules, policies and procedures, including in the company handbook.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • No previous experience required as full training will be given.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings.
  • Setting up manufacturing equipment.
  • Practical with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise workload to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Excellent work ethic and team player.
  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • Flexible approach to working additional hours when required.
