What you'll do- Lead the preparation and oversight of monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards, ensuring all deadlines are met with precision.
- Oversee complex group consolidation processes including intercompany eliminations and multi-entity reporting to maintain accurate group-level financial data.
- Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for both group entities and subsidiary companies, guaranteeing full compliance with local GAAP and IFRS requirements.
- Prepare comprehensive management reporting packages tailored for senior leadership and board members to facilitate informed business decision-making.
- Produce timely monthly group reports that provide valuable insights into business performance and support strategic planning initiatives.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis at the group level, delivering clear commentary on financial performance trends to key stakeholders.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex matters such as IFRS 15, IFRS 16, impairment testing, and business combination accounting across the organisation.
- Act as the primary technical contact for accounting advice within the finance function and other departments, ensuring clarity on regulatory developments.
- Proactively manage the year-end audit process by coordinating with external auditors, preparing audit working papers, and ensuring timely delivery of all requirements.
- Implement robust internal controls over financial reporting processes while driving continuous improvement in systems, policies, procedures, and overall efficiency.
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience is essential for success in this role.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in financial reporting within complex multinational environments is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS standards-particularly IFRS 15, IFRS 16-and experience handling multi-entity consolidations are vital.
- Demonstrated ability to lead finance teams effectively by providing coaching, mentoring, workload prioritisation, and resource allocation support.
- Experience managing external audits from planning through completion while serving as the main point of contact for auditors is necessary.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with proven ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to non-finance colleagues are expected.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel along with hands-on experience using consolidation software or ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Exposure to private equity-backed or large group environments would be advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements as well as finance system change or automation projects would be beneficial.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical abilities ensures accuracy in all aspects of financial reporting.
