Client Profile: Large Manufacturing Organisation, Monaghan

Our client is a high-profile manufacturing organisation with a significant presence in Ireland. Within their industry sector they are the leading global supplier for a range of food products. As a group they are entrepreneurial and have experienced exceptional growth over the last number of years. They are seeking to recruit an experienced senior finance professional to join their Corporate team and take ownership for regulatory reporting and compliance for all group entities.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the candidate will have responsibility for the following:

  • Act as technical accounting lead for all businesses within Ireland
  • Management of the external audit process for all group entities
  • Ownership and detailed review of Group and Statutory Financial Statements
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports for presentation to the Leadership team
  • Drive improvement in reporting for group companies for consolidation
  • Responsible for monthly group consolidations
  • Adopt appropriate accounting policies for the group
  • Responsibility for the business planning and forecasting, taking ownership of the budgeting model
  • Treasury management
  • Liaise with Group Tax and Compliance Manager on any tax issues
  • Implement best practice and process improvements
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with a number of years' post qualification experience within a medium to large business
  • Capable of result delivery to tight deadlines
  • Excellent technical accounting experience and comfortable interacting at Senior Leadership team level
  • Trained within a Big 4 or Top 20 firm
