UK Payroll Manager - Permanent Role Reading HQ Hybrid Working
An exciting opportunity for a hands-on position leading a small team of two Payroll Assistants within a dynamic and friendly Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and process payroll for 800+ employees across the Group
- Ensure full compliance with current payroll legislation and statutory requirements
- Manage all payroll components including salaries, benefits, and deductions
- Maintain and update payroll data with precision and accuracy
- Collaborate with HR to ensure correct employee records (new starters, leavers, changes)
- Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure timely, accurate payments
- Produce payroll reports for senior management
- Stay informed on legislative changes and adapt processes accordingly
- Contribute to finance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proven experience managing multiple payrolls at Group level (ideally 6+)
- Strong technical proficiency with ADP systems
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Proficient in payroll software and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- CIPP qualification preferred but not essential
