About the Role

Insignia is seeking a highly experienced and results driven Managing Director to oversee the day to day operations of the business and ensure seamless execution across all functions. This role is crucial to maintaining operational efficiency, driving growth, and ensuring the smooth running of the company's daily activities. The Managing Director will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision set by the Group CEO, while also focusing on delivering operational excellence, managing resources, and ensuring the business operates at its highest capacity. This position is ideal for a hands on leader with strong operational expertise and a proven track record in managing complex businesses across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage and coordinate the daily operations of Insignia's offices, teams, and resources across various regions to ensure business continuity and operational excellence.
  • Operational Strategy Execution: Translate the strategic goals set by the CEO into actionable plans and ensure their successful execution across all business functions.
  • Process Optimisation: Continuously assess and improve internal processes, workflows, and systems to drive efficiency and streamline operations. Implement best practices across departments.
  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration between different departments (sales, finance, marketing, product development, etc.) to ensure the business operates cohesively and meets its goals.
Team Management & Leadership
  • Lead and Develop Teams: Provide direct leadership and oversight to senior management and department heads, ensuring they are aligned with company objectives and effectively executing their responsibilities.
  • Talent Development: Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of key talent to ensure the business has the necessary skills and leadership at all levels to drive operational success.
  • Performance Management: Regularly monitor team performance, providing feedback and guidance to optimise productivity and foster a results driven culture. Set clear objectives and hold teams accountable for their performance.
  • Culture Building: Foster a positive work culture, ensuring alignment with the company's values, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and a focus on customer satisfaction.
Financial Management
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Oversee the day to day management of the company's finances, including budgeting, cash flow management, cost control, and resource allocation.
  • Financial Reporting: Work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and provide actionable insights to the CEO and board on financial performance.
  • Cost Management: Monitor expenditures across departments to ensure that operational costs are kept within budget while maintaining high quality service and operational efficiency.
Client & Partner Relationships
  • Client Satisfaction: Ensure the delivery of exceptional service to clients by overseeing client facing operations, ensuring that the company's offerings meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and to identify opportunities for further collaboration and growth.
  • Product Delivery: Ensure that new products and services are launched and delivered on time, within scope, and meet the company's high standards. Oversee product operations to guarantee a seamless experience for clients.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all company operations comply with local, national, and international regulations. Maintain awareness of changes in regulatory requirements that could affect the business.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and challenges within operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks. Ensure the company is prepared for any operational disruptions.
Operational Performance & Reporting
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational effectiveness, ensuring business objectives are met on time and within budget.
  • Reporting to CEO & Board: Regularly report on operational performance, key business developments, and any challenges to the Group CEO and Board of Directors. Provide recommendations for improvement and growth.
Expansion & Scaling
  • Regional Expansion: Assist in the rollout of new offices and regions, ensuring operational structures are in place to support global growth. Provide operational insights to guide regional strategies.
  • Scalability: Work closely with the CEO to ensure that operational processes, technology, and systems can scale effectively as the company grows.
Professional Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior operational management role, ideally as a Managing Director or similar leadership position in a fast paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Experience managing day to day business operations, including overseeing multiple departments such as sales, marketing, finance, and customer service.
  • Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with the ability to make data driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and implement process improvements across teams and functions.
  • Proven success in managing and developing high performing teams across various functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Experience in financial services or luxury goods sectors is highly preferred.
  • Fluent in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
