Job Description
Group Financial Reporting Manager
Our L+P client is looking for a highly skilled Group Financial Reporting Manager to join their tam on a 4 months initial contract.
CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START BEGINNING OF JANUARY
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the production and analysis of IFRS and regulatory reporting for the Group, including managing of consolidation processes
- Coach and review outputs of team members, fostering professional growth and ensuring accuracy in external reporting
- Providing insightful analysis into the Group's reported results across IFRS and Solvency II under a range of KPIs
- Preparation of accounting position papers for external audit, and documentation of key accounting judgements and estimates for the Board Audit Committee
- Taking responsibility for a robust control environment, overseeing the operation of controls over reporting processes, review and challenge of divisional submissions and the team outputs
- Driving continuous process improvement with respect to both quality and efficiency in the Group's reporting processes
- Managing key stakeholder relationships, such as with life company finance teams, Investor Relations, Group FP&A, and the external auditors.
- Supporting change initiatives including the on-going finance transformation programme, responding to developments in external reporting requirements and dealing with the reporting impacts of corporate activity such as M&A.
What are we looking for?
- Qualified accountant with significant post qualified experience within an external reporting-focused role
- Proven expertise in financial and regulatory reporting within a complex financial services environment
- Deep subject matter expertise across one or more of: IFRS consolidation and listed company reporting, Solvency II reporting and IFRS 17 insurance accounting
- Demonstrable leadership and coaching skills in driving completion of large-scale reporting processes and developing junior team members
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders
- A proactive mindset with the ability to navigate change and drive process improvements
