An established Lloyd's insurance broker is recruiting for an experienced qualified accountant to join them as their Group Financial Controller.
ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Group CFO and supervising a small team, the successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the Finance Department, ensuring systems and controls are established and followed, supporting the Group CFO and International CEO on the financial management and development of overseas subsidiaries, overseeing the implementation of investment and hedging policies, managing the annual audit process across the Group, overseeing compliance with all aspects of Company Law (UK companies) and to provide advice to overseas subsidiaries as and when needed, and managing tax compliance and reporting processes.
Qualifications- Qualified accountant with technical insurance accounting knowledge gained within an insurance broking business
- Knowledge of FCA CASS requirements
- Senior management exposure and people management experience
- Technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
