Our client, a PE-backed Company operating in the B2B Food Ingredients sector with significant growth in international markets, is currently looking for the:
GROUP CFO
The resource will report directly to the Group CEO and will take part in Board of Directors and Executive Committees.
Scope
The Chief Financial Officer should bring strong business controlling skills and be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the Company through leading a finance & accounting team in providing efficient financial operations, including financial planning & analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance and risk management.
The CFO will act as a business partner to the CEO and will be responsible for the integration of the newly acquired US Company into the Group.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance & accounting team and cultivating a culture of high-performance and continuous improvement
- Lead Business and financial controlling activities with the implementation of group-wise KPIs
- Collaborate with the leadership team to monitor operations, provide financial insights, and recommend strategic improvements for sustainable growth
- Manage financial risk by ensuring effective controls, assessing market conditions, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Oversee all financial operations, including budget, forecasting, financial reporting, audit, treasury, and tax functions while ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards
- Direct the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and regulatory filings
- Collaborate with the CEO and executive leadership to develop financial strategies that support business growth
- Manage the relationship with financial lenders of the Group
- Partner with the executive team to develop and manage a comprehensive financial plan
- Advise executive team on financial performance and long-term financial planning
- Integrate the newly acquired US company within the rest of the organization both in terms of consolidated accounts and reporting as well as IT systems and internal processes/procedures
Requirements
- University degree in Finance or Business discipline
- Relevant experience in Finance. The ideal candidate has already covered Executive Finance Roles
- Solid experience within Multinational Companies with direct finance responsibility for US subsidiaries
- An experience within a PE-backed company is highly preferred
- Very solid knowledge of Controlling and FP&A activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with investors and stakeholders
- Proactivity, accountability, resilience, dynamism and self-motivation, growth mindset and time management skills
- Strong decision-making skills, excellent presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Agile mindset, strong ability of scenarios planning, resources management, high result-orientation
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- English and Italian Fluent
Location: Close to Milan with frequent business trips to US (50% of the time)
