We're looking for a Groundworks Assistant to join the Auger Team, covering Southampton. Our total package is worth £31,884.00 without overtime.

Financials
  • Starting Salary - £28,089.10
  • Annual Bonus - approx £2000 - £2500
  • 5.5% Pension Contribution - approx £1484
Overtime
  • Optional weekend OT at 1.5x rate e.g. 10 days would top up the package to £33,504.53
Working Hours
  • 42.5 hrs per week, Mon-Fri only & NOon-call work
  • We pay door-to-door including all driving time
  • Go straight to your job from home - you don't have to report to a depot or yard first
  • Limited stay-aways, with bonuses/annual leave for more than 3 overnights per quarter

  • 22 Days Annual Leave + 8 Bank Holidays
  • AL increases to 25 days within 5 years' service

The Role
  • Assist our experienced Engineers to complete a variety of jobs including repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works
  • Work effectively with other engineers in our team as required
  • Learn all aspects of every engineering role at Auger
  • Specialise in one area after a year and aim to become a junior engineer
  • Communicate proactively with our Field Operations Team at HQ
Preferred Experience
  • No previous experience is essential - we will provide you with all the training you need
  • Some experience of groundworks preferable
