Grounds Maintenance Team Leader - Glasgow, covering Glasgow and the Southwest Scotland
£26,863 - £28,276 per year 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

RoleThe Grounds Maintenance Team Leader (also known as a Landscape Technician Charge Hand) is responsible for the maintenance of communal grounds including grass cutting, trimming hedges and weeding flower beds. You will provide supervisory support to the wider team and ensure the grounds look presentable for visitors. A company van and tools will be provided which you will be responsible for and ensure they are kept in good working condition.
Responsibilities- Provide supervisory support in keeping estates well maintained and clean
- Use equipment and materials in a safe manner as instructed and in accordance with risk assessment and the manufacturer's guidance
- Carry out all hazardous tasks such as spraying, in accordance with supplier guidelines ensuring relevant records are maintained to comply with health and safety and legal requirements
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and continue to be suitable for required tasks
- Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations
- A pesticide application certificate PA1 - PA6 or equivalent
- NVQ3 or equivalent in Horticulture or similar discipline is desirable
- Recent experience of working within a similar role where operating gardening machinery is essential
- Some experience of supervising others
- This role will involve driving on company business. A full valid UK driving licence is required to drive a company vehicle
