Greenspace Technician Level 2: Citywide Mowing

Worcester City Council is looking for someone to join our grounds maintenance team with a particular interest in grounds maintenance. As part of a small team you will contribute to the Council providing high quality greenspace and recreational facilities. Duties include making sure our greenspaces are clean and well maintained, mainly using a ride on mower during the spring and summer and carrying out shrub bed maintenance during autumn and winter. Typical duties include litter picking and emptying bins and other cleansing duties, strimming, pedestrian mowing, watering, hedge cutting and maintaining our green spaces to a good horticultural standard. You will follow best practice to ensure our greenspace continues to support wildlife whilst providing a recreational space for residents. As part of the Greenspace team you will be required to work in our premiere parks and sport pitches as and when required.

We are looking for someone with experience of work outdoors all year round, has a full driving licence with category BE1, can use power tools and machinery, can work in a small team and takes pride in their work.
