Job Description

The King's School, Canterbury is seeking an enthusiastic and intellectually curious Graduate Teacher of Economics to join our thriving Economics and Business Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate or aspiring teacher to begin their teaching career in one of the country's leading independent schools, with support and encouragement to develop professionally.

The successful candidate will inspire pupils through engaging and ambitious teaching, helping them to develop a genuine enthusiasm for Economics. You will contribute to a vibrant department with an excellent academic record, supporting enrichment opportunities such as the Economics Society, essay competitions, educational visits and wider super-curricular activities. As part of our boarding community, you will also play a full role in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the School.

We are looking for someone with a strong academic background in Economics or a related discipline, excellent communication skills and a passion for working with young people. No formal teaching qualification is required, although a willingness to work towards one is essential. You will be collaborative, enthusiastic and committed to helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
