Graduate Software Test Analyst leading into developer (C++ and Cobol)

A Graduate Software Tester is required to join a well-established London based software house specialising in Banking solutions. This role will provide candidates with the chance to gain exposure in the testing of highly complex software solutions, whilst gaining knowledge of the Banking Industry as a whole.

The candidate must have some experience on any high-level programming language, with C++ being a bonus. Candidates must be highly motivated, have strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills and a good attention to detail. Previous Software Testing experience is not required, but the candidate must show a willingness to learn.

The company offers the option to move on to the development team once the candidate has shown an understanding of our system and is ready to take on more responsibility.

Responsibilities for the Graduate Software Tester role include:

• Manual testing of HP Enterprise Systems
• Develop, execute and maintain test scripts
• Report and investigate internal defects
• Configure and maintain customer test environments
• Produce documentation to aid testing
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure products meet customer requirements
• Work closely with the Support & Maintenance team to investigate and review customer defects

Requirements for the role:

• Educated to a Degree level
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Software Testing Experience, or a willingness to learn
• Some experience with a modern programming language, ideally C++
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
