Graduate Site Engineer

As Graduate Site Engineer, you will be involved with the delivery of large infrastructure schemes, both geotechnical and structural renewal schemes on the Railway. These schemes will be predominately based in North West England, however applicant must be willing to travel as part of their duties to support the wider reactive/infrastructure emergencies in the wider Network Rail regions.
You will work with a team of senior engineers to support the delivery of the schemes, the engineers will support and mentor you to develop your career in the rail civil engineering sector. This will include all relevant industry training required to perform your role effectively.
Role and responsibilities:- Accurate setting out of the works and dimensional control (training to be provided, if required)
- Resolving technical problems with Senior Engineers
- Ensure compliance of works and carry out inspections as per projects' Inspection and Test Plans
- Production of redline drawings and undertaking as built surveys and the completion of the projects As-built records
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers' defined requirements
- Oversee construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements
- Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties
- Manage all materials on site are suitable, stored in line with manufacturer's recommendations current working practice, contract specification or project requirements
- Assist the Site Management team were required
- Experience in civil engineering desirable (rail experience preferable but not essential)
- A civil engineering degree accredited by a Professional Institution (e.g. ICE ) at 2:1 or above
- Experience setting out with GPS and Total Station within a rail/civil engineering contracting environment (preferable)
- Experience with AutoCAD and Excel
