What is the role?
As a Graduate Planner with Persimmon Homes (Yorkshire), you will be part of a small yet busy team, handling a varied range of planning applications for both strategic and immediate sites, of varying scales and complexity. The role offers a broad area of responsibility across all areas of the development process, including planning policy, promotional work, detailed development management, and delivery.
What you'll do as a Graduate Planner
- Assess land development opportunities against company criteria
- Provide advice internally on planning matters
- Prepare and submit planning applications
- Attend meetings with relevant parties during the planning process
- Manage ongoing planning matters and submit information to clear planning conditions
What experience do I need?
- Degree or Master's in Planning or Real Estate, with RTPI or RICS accreditation, and a comprehensive knowledge of planning
- Applicants with a relevant degree or A-level results, without RTPI/RICS accreditation, are also encouraged to apply
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take the lead on own initiative with minimal supervision
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- A positive outlook and professional attitude to confidently engage with colleagues at all levels
