What is the role?

As a Graduate Planner with Persimmon Homes (Yorkshire), you will be part of a small yet busy team, handling a varied range of planning applications for both strategic and immediate sites, of varying scales and complexity. The role offers a broad area of responsibility across all areas of the development process, including planning policy, promotional work, detailed development management, and delivery.

What you'll do as a Graduate Planner

  • Assess land development opportunities against company criteria
  • Provide advice internally on planning matters
  • Prepare and submit planning applications
  • Attend meetings with relevant parties during the planning process
  • Manage ongoing planning matters and submit information to clear planning conditions

What experience do I need?

  • Degree or Master's in Planning or Real Estate, with RTPI or RICS accreditation, and a comprehensive knowledge of planning
  • Applicants with a relevant degree or A-level results, without RTPI/RICS accreditation, are also encouraged to apply
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take the lead on own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive outlook and professional attitude to confidently engage with colleagues at all levels
