Graduate Maths Tutor
Location: Kent
Start date: September
Salary: £24,404 - £27,269
Are you a recent Maths graduate with a passion for education?
Are you considering a career in teaching and eager to gain classroom experience?
Aspire People are working in partnership with a supportive specialist school in Kent to recruit a driven and enthusiastic Graduate Maths Tutor for September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students across KS3 to KS5 while gaining valuable school-based experience in a dynamic and supportive setting.
Graduate Maths Tutor - the school:
High-achieving and inclusive school in Kent
A strong academic reputation
Excellent Maths department with a focus on high attainment and personalised support
Modern facilities and a positive, well-resourced learning environment
Strong commitment to staff development and progression
Supportive leadership team and welcoming school culture
Graduate Maths Tutor - key responsibilities:
Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group Maths interventions to students
Support teachers in planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons
Help raise attainment and close learning gaps across all key stages
Build strong rapport with students and staff
Support pupils with SEN
Gain experience ideal for a future PGCE or teacher training application
Graduate Maths Tutor - requirements:
2:1 or above in Maths or Science from a top UK university
Previous tutoring experience is desirable
Excellent communication skills
Reliability, motivation and enthusiasm for learning
Receptive to feedback and coaching
Commitment for at least one academic year
Enhanced DBS on the update service is desirable
