The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils across Key Stages through engaging learning activities
  • Deliver targeted interventions with individuals and small groups
  • Provide occasional whole-class cover when required
  • Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver high-quality learning
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and academic success
  • Build meaningful relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
  • Gain first-class preparation for teacher training or postgraduate study

The Ideal Candidate

  • A 2:1 or above in any degree subject (Education, Psychology, English, Maths, Science or Humanities preferred)
  • Passionate about working with young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident leading small groups and supporting classroom learning
  • Previous experience working with children is advantageous but not essential
  • Ambitious, resilient and eager to build a career in education
