Leonardo UK is seeking a Graduate DevOps Engineerto join the Cyber & Security Solutions Division team. This role is focused on .

What you will do as a Graduate DevOps Engineer
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Support source code management, builds, and version control.
  • Help monitor system performance, identify issues, and elevate where needed.
  • Contribute to patching, updates, and upgrades of development and test environments.
  • Maintain and update technical documentation and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve routine technical issues.
  • Learn and apply DevOps tools, processes, and best practice in secure environments.
What you'll bring
  • All of our roles require (a) a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelors/Integrated Master's degree, or (b) a higher degree, such as a MSc or PhD in a STEM related subject including Cyber security.
  • A foundation in IT systems, software, or networking with an enthusiasm for learning DevOps practices.
  • Ability to follow engineering processes, work as part of a team, and apply problem solving skills.
  • Curiosity and motivation to explore automation, cloud, and modern development practices.
Core areas (must have):
  • Awareness of Windows/Linux operating systems
  • Basic understanding of networking principles
  • Knowledge of software development or scripting concepts (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git or similar)
  • Understanding of cyber security concepts and secure working practice
Desirable:
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Awareness of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
  • Experience with monitoring or logging tools (ELK, Splunk, Nagios)
  • Progress towards IT or DevOps related certifications (CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco)

This is not an exhaustive list, and we are keen to hear from you even if you might not have experience in all the above. The most important skill is a good attitude and willingness to learn.
